T3
T3: Training Teens for Tomorrow provides 16-19 year old teens with the skills necessary to make it through high school and into young adulthood. We do this by providing assistance in gaining the skills needed to get a job, graduate from high school and get in to college or other post-secondary education. We provide weekly mentoring through individual case management, where we are able to meet one-on-one and assist participants with their specific goals and career plans. Our program is founded with the same principals as the Boys & Girls Club, and our ultimate goal is for our participants to realize their full potential and become productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Eligible youth have significant barriers (foster care, homeless, economically disadvantaged, single parent families, and juvenile crime issues) to employment. The goal of this program is to help youth find employment, develop job/life skills, and seek higher education and career based training. We provide everything a youth would need to be successful from bus passes to interview clothing.
Each youth will participate in the following activities throughout the year:
- Job Skills and Career Development Training 12 weeks
- Community Service Projects
- College and business tours
- Job shadowing
- Paid three month apprenticeship through the Club
- Financial literacy program
- Development of a personal action plan
