Swegle Branch
The Swegle Branch opened its doors to youth, 1st – 12th grade, in the northeast Salem area in 1994 with hopes to enrich the community as a whole. The branch has not only enhanced the community but has also provided a safe and positive place for hundreds of youth who attend after school.
Since the opening of the Swegle Branch, our membership has continued to grow. We expanded our building in 2004 to meet the needs of our youth. Recently, with the growth in the teen population atttending the Club, we renovated our building to create a separate functioning Teen Center for grades 7-12.
The north Salem community looks to the Swegle Branch to provide our youth with positive role models, community involvement, and a positive place for kids. Each day that we open our doors we are educating our youth in social recreation, healthy lifestyles, and academic success.
