Education: Providing oral health education to parents and students to increase awareness of oral health care and improve daily home care habits.
Prevention: Providing effective and proven prevention services such as screenings, dental sealants, fluoride applications, cleanings, and diet counseling to students.
Treatment: Uninsured low-income children with untreated dental decay are treated by local volunteering dentists and dental auxiliary in our new modern three operatory dental clinic located onsite at the Knudson Branch
The Boys & Girls Club is committed to supporting the health and wellness of children and adolescents by working with parents, teachers, health professionals and school administrators to create the ideal setting for teaching students how to adopt and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
Boys & Girls Club Health & Dental Services Center is fun kid-approved dental clinic. Our volunteer dental professionals specialize in children's dental health, and related dental problems. We provide a fun and free dental office where kids learn to keep their teeth clean and healthy for a lifetime.
In our modern 3 operatory dental clinic we provide comprehensive children's dentistry. We provide a full range of preventive and restorative services and include oral health education to help ensure good and long-lasting dental health. We put a great deal of emphasis on making sure kids are comfortable while they are in our care. Most importantly at the Boys & Girls Club, you'll find a fun, warm and welcoming environment. Our dental clinic is specially designed with families in mind.
Dental and vision appointments are available for low-income Boys & Girls Club members in the Salem-Keizer School District grades 1-12 who do not have OHP/Healthy Kids or dental and vision insurance.
